Squall and company are on the train to Timber. "Yo, check it out, so it's SeeD's private train. " "They even have magazines here." Receives Pet Pal Vol.1. "Do you know much about Timber?" "Don't care"... Selphie walks in, "I don't feel so well." "I feel sleepy." Zell then too, feels weird "What the..." Something's wrong. Squall too is affected. "Ugh..." All three fell into a strange snooze.
Laguna, Ward and Kiro, three soldiers dressed in Gabadian uniform are running in the wilderness. (?) Confusing and mysterious? "Dream?" Well, no time to consider what is happening now.
"Laguna, aren't we here to fight a war against the almighty Timber Army?" "Don't tell us we are lost again." "Any way, let's go home, Delin City." At Delin city... "Say, how about a drink?" You two seem have misunderstood, I just want a friendly drink with you two." At the bar (enter the Gabadian Hotel and follow the stairs on the right side), Laguna's "usual table is ready." "May I take your order?" "The usual." Then, a girl dressed in red walks down the stair gracefully. "So, Laguna, Julia is making her appearance very soon." "Go for it tonight." "What-ever man, can't you see she's working?" Laguna's Blushing expression. Clearly, he likes Julia. "This close to Julia?" "My leg is starting to cramp." Our popularity has just gone up a point." "But a -3 on the manliness scale." "Aaa..." "Huhhh" "We are off, you just relax tonight." "Why leaving so soon?" Before the answer is given, Ward and Kiros left Laguna alone at the bar.
"May I?" Laguna turns and sees Julia. "Aaa..." "If you'd like to, please come by. I've been wanting to talk to you."
In Julia's room, a conversation begins. Though at most of time, it is Laguna who stole the conversation. "What are your dreams?" "I wish I can sing, not just playing the piano." "Now I think I can do it because of the many faces you have shown me... you faces, your smiles, your eyes..." "Wow, I must be dreaming." *pinch* "This is not a dream is it?" "Laguna, new missions..." "Can we meet again?" "Of course, I have to hear you sing."
Waking up from the train to Timber... "Were we all asleep?" "Probably some one released sleeping gas or something. It seems many people resent SeeDs." "It is cool with me. I had such a nice dream." "(My dream wasn't nice though, I dreamt I was a moron.)" "You dreamt of Laguna too?" What's the chance of three people dreaming of the same thing? "Right now, let's concentrate on our first mission." Getting off the train at Timber, talk to the closest person and he will ask Squall the secret code. Reply would be "But the owls are still around." Then Watts will lead you to the train. (Apparently, choosing wrong secret code will not interfere with the game play. You will still be led to the secret base of forest owl.) After introduction, Squall's first mission with forest owl, to wake up the princess. "She's in the last room."
In the last room, Squall saw the princess, Rinoa, the girl who danced with him in the graduation party. "YEESS, SeeD is finally here. Now that you guys are here, we will be able to carry out all kinds of plans."
In the strategy room, Rinoa briefed everyone how will the mission be carried out. The plan is quite flawless, but with a fatal flaw. Which I will explain later. Only take notice in how to avoid the guards and enter the code. Now the operation commences. Squall will enter the code twice. Zell and Selphie will be able to keep an eye on guard in the first time. So a good trick is that as soon as they say a guard is on the move, go back up as soon as you can. Three codes are to be entered in thie first uncoupling. In the second uncoupling of the train, Zell and Selphie will not be able to keep an eye on the guards. So a good trick to use is that hold on to E or R1 so that if the guard is near, go up as soon as you can. Squall will enter 5 codes in the second uncoupling. If he successfully complete the mission without any failure, Watt will congratulate him for his effort and SeeD level will raise by one.
Before talking to Rinoa again to confront Deling, make sure the GF's are properly junctioned and status is at maximum. Then, tis time to confront the president.
"As long as you don't resist, you won't get hurt." "What if I do resist young lady?" Something is not right. A prisoner would normally not be asking for punishments. Clearly, it is a double.

Fake president is not really a challenge. Be prepared however for Gerogero, an average boss. His attack can cause detrimental status, such as zombie, darkness and slow. You can draw Esuna from it and cure yourself out of the status. Being an undead monster, you cannot draw cure spells from it. So at times of low HP, you can only cure yourself with your own stock of cure spells or items. To kill Gerogero fast, you can keep on physical attack it (with Squall's trigger, this strategy deals considerable amount of damage), or you can keep on casting cure spells or recovering items to deal significant amount of damage. |

"I can't believe the president was a fake." They then found out that the real president is at Timber, the TV station. Since they got the communication tower at Dollet up and running, they can transmit using radio waves rather than HD. So people at remote regions where no cables can reach wills till be able to receive the message. "So what message are they trying to broadcast?" ... Selphie: "Everyone, love and ... peace..." *-_-||* Regardless, Gabadian needs to be stopped. "Can we look at our contract first?" Squall, the team leader, believes that Timber TV station is out of their duty and what they are paid for. "SeeDs are too assist the Forest Owl until Timber is freed..." "Sounds very vague, until Timber is freed?"
Squall is informed that TV station is behind Timber Manics. And that the lady next door of Timber Manics may know the way to TV station. Peeking out of the window from the second floor of the house next to Timber Manics, an alley, that leads to TV station can be seen. Walking down towards the pub, two Gabadian soldiers are mumbling about how earning money is easy. When they discover Squall and company, a battle is leashed out.

After defeating the G-Soldiers, Squall is rewarded with a Buel card. Proceeding into the Pub, a drunk person blocks the way to alley and blaming his misfortune on the resistance. Give this piteous man his card back and in return, he will let you keep the card and give you an other Tonberry card. Squall and company proceed to the TV station, only to be informed that the president is at the studio and heavily guarded. "But we can make our boardcast after the president has gone." Squall questions Rinoa and her resistance's seriousness about the resistance against the Gabadian. "How serious are you?" "I guess I was wrong. I thought things will be different when SeeDs came." Rinoa rushes off in dispare and disaapointment. The boardcast begins.
"The problems between Gabadian and other nations needs to be resolved" ... Out of blue, Seifer and Quistis rush out of nowhere and seized the president. They are in heavily fortified station with the only triumph card in their hand - the possession of Gabadian president. While Squall decides that the company will do nothing, as their job is only to assist the owls. However, Instructor Trepe directly requested for help from the Timber team. Without a second thought, they rushed towards TV station.
Zell accidentally mentioned that they are from Garden. Clearly, if President is injured, the Gabadian military will crush the Garden. Seifer with seized president, senses danger. "!?" "Poor poor boy", "Are you going to step forward? Retreat?" Sorceress made her entrance and hypnotises Seifer. *Spell, Quistis freezes* "You can't make up your mind, you don't know the right answer." Seifer lets go of the President. The president fled. "Come with me to a place of no return. Bid farewell to your childhood." *Spell, Squall, Zell and Selphie freezes* Sorceress and Seifer vanishes behind the blind. After the spell is expired, all of them including Rinoa are intrigued by Seifer's unreasonable dissappearance. "Our base is completely destroyed", "Is there anywhere you can take me?", "This is an order from your client!" *head ~ aches* "Alright." Heading back to the lady's house, pay a visit to Timber Manics. Get the "Girl Next Door" on the piles of magazines on the floor. Also there is a Blizzaga draw point in the first room on Squall's left. It is not visible from the screen but not hard to find. Also an old issue of Timber Manics on the floor of the room at the end of the corridor.
At the lady's house, Rinoa told the SeeDs that almost everyone at Timber belongs to a resistance. So that they could rest here. Selphie, however, still does not comprehend why did Seifer come to Timber. Rinoa believes he did it for the forest owls. The questioning tone of Gabadian soldiers forces them to the second floor. There, Quistis explains Seifer's intention: "They might end up fightin' the whole Gabadian force." "Seifer may be dead already... because Gabadian and Sorceress joined forces. There is no surprise he might be killed for that." "I still think he's alright." "Think what you want... As long as you don't get your hope up, you can take anything... You feel less pain." "Gabadian forces are withdrawing... If you want to leave the town, now is your chance." "So, what's your plan?" "Getting out of here is the first step... Garden code, article 8 line 7..." "In the event of returning to the assigned garden is not possible, report to the nearest garden." "Galbadia garden... We can catch a train and get off at a station called East Academy." Upon leaving the lady's house, she will give you a potion, a pheonix down, a soft and an antidote.
Outside the lady's house, a Gabadian soldier rushes towards Squall. It is actually Watts, who informs the party that the Timber train station will be closed temporarily, with the last train abound for East Academy departing shortly (how convenient). Then Zone, dressed as an old man, gives all five tickets to Squall and Rinoa. Rushing and abroading the train, the train departs and heads away from Timber and Forest Owls.

Little Tips:
You don't have to catch the train. Personally, I recommend you actually walk there, providing you have got card ability. So you can card your way to Gabadian Garden.
