Following Squall's completion of the Dollet mission, they would return to Balamb. Raijin and Fujin, the followers of Seifer come along to welcome Seifer upon his success of the mission. "Being a Leader ain't easy." After Seifer and company left, Quistis congratulates Squall of his success in the mission. When asking where is Seifer, Squall points to the direction of some car park, indicating Seifer has already left. Then you will be dismissed. Walking out of Balamb, and towards Balamb Garden.

When back at Balamb Garden, the party is free until the field test resulf. Therefore, Zell and Selphie leave Squall and walks off. Walking to the control panel, Xu, Cid and Quistis are discussing the outcome and injuries of the mission. "All SeeD candidates are safe right?" "...Galbadian agrees to withdraw as long as the communication tower remains uplink and operational." Walking on, Squall meets Seifer on the Easten wing of ground level. "We could have being heroes if it was not for that with draw order!" Yet Quistis and Xu insist that obeying orders is the prime priority: "You were only looking for a fight." "Calling yourself captain is a joke." Cid dismisses Xu and Quistis and comforts Seifer: "We don't want to train you all into machines."

After walking around the Garden for a while, the PA announces that "All SeeD candidates participated in the field exam are to report to 2nd level." On the second level, every one waits tensely for the final report. Finally ... "Dincht ... Zell Dincht" "Squall from team B" "That's all, dismissed."

In the head master room, Cid hands out the SeeD report and a comment for each condidate:

Selphie: (I am looking forward to the Garden Festival)
Nina: (Do you best, even if you don't stand out)
Zell: (Try to control your emotions a little)
Squall: (Finally a gunblade specialist)

On the way back to the class room, the four is blocked by Seifer, Fujin and Raijin. Tension and akwardness soon fill the corridor. Few moments of silence passed, and Seifer releases the unease atmosphere, by congradulating Squall and company for their success in the field exam. So do the rest. Squall then receives his SeeD report and starting SeeD level as well as an explanation of how is SeeD paid.

Night. Selphie waits Squall in his new Dormitory. She asks Squall to change uniform and join the celebration party. "Let's go PAR-TAY"

In the party, Zell comes and expects some more friendly gesture from Squall. He responds with his usual unsocial response.

Selphie came along as well, asking him to help out the Garden festival. "Yeah, I guess so."

A shooting star marks the sky with a prolonged scar of light, fading away gradually. Squall's sight is caught by a lonely girl, staring at the pretty scar of the night.

"Dance with me?", "I don't know how to." "I will teach you." Without further complications, the strange girl pulls Squall into the middle of the dancing hall, and started to dance with the rythmn - Waltz of the Moon.

The fireworks lit, the light dimmed. Romance in the atmoshpere cannot be further amplified.

As the stranger leaves, Squall feels a great loss. Is it love? Or simply the warm feeling of being loved? When left the hall, Quistis feels rather rejected. "So you'd rather dance with a stranger than stand here and talk to me?" "It's awkard. You are my instructor." "Alright, there is one more mission to complete. Change your cloth and wait for me at the training center." One more mission? Something smells fishy. Changed cloth, Squall meets Quistis in front of the Training center. There will be wild encounters in Training center (hence training).

Little Tips:
It is a good idea of junction Siren to one of your characters and 100 sleep to the status attack. If you don't have any sleep, don't worry. You can draw sleep from the grats from training center. Reason being that T-Rex, a very rare encounter monster in the training center is subject to sleep. So if you have sleep as status attack, you can keep on hitting it, without it waking up.

You can't really get lost, since there aren't many branches here. Squall and Quistis enter the door deep into the training center.

Breaking news, as Quistis converses with Squall: "I, Quistis Trepe is no longer an instructor as of now." "If that's how it is decided, you have to abide by it." "I was a SeeD by the age of 15 and got my instructor licence at 17." "What am I suppose to say about other people's problems?" "I just want you to listen." "Then go talk to a wall." "Lack of instructor qualities, lact of leadership. Perhaps they are right."

Exiting the training center, Squall hears screamings for help. Rushing to the site of emergency: that mysterious girl who visited Squall in the infirmary is being attacked by a giant mosquito. "Squall!"

Memos:
These fight isn't really a challenge. If you only want to kill them as fast as possible, you can either kill a character to critical health (Quistis is probably better here, since her Laser eye does ~1300 damage to Granaldo and ~350 damage to Raldo) and draw protect from Raldo on the character on critical health. Or you can just hit them using attack option having ~5 cures for backup, if you health is dangerously low. Or you can draw 100 protect and Shell from the boss. Pretty useful if you already have elemental defence.

Scan is always a good way to fight your enemy.

The mysterious girl is really shakened up. She leaves the training center accompanied by two SeeDs. Exiting the Training center, Quistis says: "It's not like anyone can get on with their own, you know?" and walks off. Squall is left amazed. "... says who?" Realizing it is after midnight, Squall heads back to the dormitory. Zell tells him that he has got his new room. Entering his new room, Squall got some rest, before the new mission in a new day.

*knock* *knock* "Squall, our first SeeD mission at Timber. Meet at front gate." Rushing towards the front gate, Selphie, Cid and a Gardener is already waiting there. The gardener patientlessly says "One more minute." As he was speaking, Zell rides his T-board and crashes into the gathering. "T-boards are forbidden in the garden, have you forgotten?" Confiscation was the result of breaching of the garden rules. Then, Cid forwards and briefs the threesome with the mission: "You are to go to Timber, assisting a resistance fraction. There will be people from the fraction waiting for you at the train station. When he asks 'The woods at timber sure has changed', you must reply 'But the owls are still around.'." "We have agreed this mission with very little money." Hence only 3 SeeDs are dispatched. Before leaving, talk to Cid and he will give you Magical Lamp. He claims that it is cursed, but only a GF - Diablo inside. Exit the garden and save before you use it.

After fighting Diablo, Squall and company travel to Balamb, where they will catch a train to Timber. Train station is at the left side of point where thunder is drawn. Pay 3000 gil and you are all free to go to Timber.
