The Introduction of Junctioning System
The junctioning system of FF8 is very unique to other series of Final Fantasy. Before you can junction any magic to a specific status of a character, that character must first equips a GF which has the corresponding junction ability. For example, if you want to junction magics to Squall's strength, you must equip a GF to him first, in this case, I'll choose Ifrit. And Ifrit must have already learnt Str-J Ability.
